Therapy Overview

Therapy can help you with relational, mental, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral difficulties. Individual, couples, and family therapy are intended to help you reach a better understanding of specific problems or increased self‐awareness. It is also intended to work toward improvement of the identified problems, offer support in problem solving, provide some symptom relief, and improvement in coping with daily life activities.

Therapy will be provided on a session by session basis. Your progress in psychotherapy and its outcome(s) depends upon many factors including but not limited to:

  • Level of motivation

  • Desire to change

  • Amount of effort that you put forth in following through with agreed upon therapeutic tasks outside of sessions

  • Keeping appointments

  • Willingness to be open with me as we work together

Kristyn Crowder, LMFT Associate

About Me

I truly believe there is no benefit in remaining stuck in vicious cycles that can be detrimental to the most important relationships in your life. I bring my authentic self to every session, and encourage you to do the same. I do not have all of the answers to this thing we call life, but I believe in using our sessions as opportunities for growth and development for everyone involved. Using theory and knowledge, we all can work together to come up with solutions that are unique to you. Within that process I will assist you in identifying negative behavioral patterns, becoming sex and body positive, and cultivating a space where collaboration, communication, and connection reign. Truth and authenticity are underlying pillars that are woven throughout my professional philosophy and professional practice.

Out beyond the idea of wrongdoing and right doing there is a field. I'll meet you there.           ~Rumi~
